1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and username. If you connect a Google account, we receive your name and profile photo from Google. When you subscribe to Covetly Premium, your payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store your credit card details, but we do store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.

We also collect the content you create: wish lists, items, notes, and any images you upload.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Covetly service — creating and sharing lists, managing your account, processing subscription payments, and sending transactional emails. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Public Lists

Lists you mark as public are accessible to anyone with the link, including your display name and username. Lists marked as private are only visible to you. Reservation and purchase activity on your lists is hidden from you (the list owner) to preserve surprise — but is visible to the person who made the reservation.

4. Third-Party Services

Covetly is built on Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and hosting. Payments are handled by Stripe. Email is delivered via Resend. These services have their own privacy policies and act as data processors on our behalf.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and lists will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to maintain session state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You can update or delete your account information at any time from your Settings page. To request a copy of your data or permanent deletion, contact us at the email below.
